Low Bitrate Video for any Network
Run Mastery courseware over nearly any Network.
All of Mastery's CD-ROM courses work very well over networks, but even at the high data compression achieved by standard MPEG encoding, video files can be too large for many busy or older networks, and most wide area networks to handle.
Mastery's new low-bitrate files make networking of video possible for even older or busy networks. New low bitrate MPEG technology gives good video quality for much less computer resources than CD-ROM-rate MPEG. File sizes are one-tenth the size of CD-ROM video. All you need is a sound card on each Windows-based networked workstation you wish to use for multimedia training.

Low bitrate video files:
- Play on older PCs (486/25 or better)
- Use 1/10th the bandwidth of CD-ROM rate video
- Use 1/10th the disc space for storage
- Use 1/10th the amount of server access capacity for retrieval
- Increase server capacity ten-fold
Most CD-ROM titles are available with low bitrate files.
