This software, when playing a Mastery Advantage™ course, buffers the training in a way that allows users with slow connections and broadband connections to receive the same high-quality training. How? By performing a streaming download of an entire lesson to a local cache on the learner’s computer. Learners don’t have to suffer multiple delays as every video file is buffered or wait for an entire course to be downloaded in an attempt to avoid those delays. The cache allows learners to start training right away and continue downloading in the background without slowing down the learner. No matter what your connection speed, the quality of the video is the same because the files are being played from the cache. If the user waits at all for their training, it’s only once—before the lesson begins. The result? Training is more engaging and stimulating. Your workers will remain attentive to their lessons. And when the worker is done taking the course, the course files disappear from the computer’s cache freeing hard drive space.
MasteryNet LMS is a SCORM compliant Learning Management System.
MasteryNet™ LAN Training Server
Can be added to further fine-tune the delivery and deployment of the training. LAN Training server accommodates users with limited connections to the web. It allows you to launch the training from a single web page, but deliver the large audio/video files from a local file server, bypassing telecommunication links. This allows you to conserve precious shared Internet bandwidth.
In addition to improving the deployment of WEB delivered training, LAN Training Server can be installed as a pure LAN-based application allowing users to take the training from a desktop shortcut.
