Overview

The science of ergonomics demands that the job, no matter as a car technician or office administrator, fits an individual's physical capabilities and limitations. Movements like bent wrists, pinched grips and unnatural twists challenge your innate capabilities, and can take a significant toll on your body.

The training video, Basics of Ergonomics, accordingly delineates simple solutions to modify workspaces, equipment, positions and postures to remove the threat of injury. This aligns with OSHA's guidelines, which recommend moving the body without stress so as to prevent painful and numbing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
