Overview

Each year over one million people end up in an emergency room with injuries caused by slips, trips, and falls. This online safety training video shows how these accidents happen, how they can be prevented, and how to respond if an accident occurs.

Viewers learn that slips are caused by substances on the floor or ground. Water, ice, snow, oil, or spilled products like milk create slippery surfaces. Trips are caused by elevated surfaces, or obstacles such as debris. This training course gives examples of where accidents are most likely to occur in a retail location and what you can do as an employee to prevent them. For instance, parking lots can be kept safer by painting speed bumps a bright color, repairing potholes, and providing adequate lighting.

Watch this training video to increase your awareness of what leads to slips, trips, and falls. Make your workplace safer by learning how to prevent these accidents.
