Employees have the right to know what hazards they face at work, and how to protect themselves from accidents or injuries. OSHA's Hazard Communications Standard requires employers to provide information regarding the hazardous materials, training to deal with these materials properly, and equipment needed to keep employees safe.
This course informs employees of how to read Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and container labels. First aid, spill clean ups and how to handle and store hazardous materials equipment is also included. OSHA regulations also deal with routes of entry (skin, inhalation or ingestion) and permissible exposure limits (PEL).
For employees of industrial facilities familiarization of OSHA's standards could be a matter of life and death. Use this online training video to prepare workers to understand and protect themselves from the hazards of their daily work.
