This online training on electrical safety, part of the Step Back for Safety series, teaches workers how to safely work with and around electricity. The power of electricity is hazardous, as our bodies can serve as conductors, allowing electricity to flow through them. Coming into contact with an open current of electricity may lead to serious accidents causing injury or death.
The course explains the basics of how electricity works, identifying hazards and safety practices to follow. Workers learn the basic responsibilities for working around electricity such as properly using machine guards, using Personal Protective Equipment, conducting inspections of cords and equipment, using lockout / tagout procedures and taking special consideration for performing work outdoors. Prevent accidents from happening at your workplace by following the safe practices and procedures outlined in this training.
