Training Manager Learner Data Tab
Training Manager is a powerful course management program that allows you to tailor options and features to meet your needs. You will use this system to manage the day-to-day training operations and the training delivery process.
This page shows some of the screen shots and feature descriptions from the Training Manager System's "Learner Data" screen.

Control student record configuration from the Learner Data tab.
Select the path to the location of the learner records database. If this Runtime System is on a network, this path should be in the form of a UNC (Universal Naming Convention).
Use this section to enroll learners. If the "Data entry" radio button is selected, an entry form will appear when the "Enroll button is clicked. Learners can be enrolled one at a time this way. If the "Import" radio button is selected, a file browser window will appear when the "Enroll" button is clicked. The ASCII import file, with a .txt file extension can then be selected to enroll an unlimited number of learners.
The organization of the import file must be ASCII text, comma delimited, with one line per learner. The learner data must be in this format:

Use theTraining Requirments section to let the system monitor your workers' individual training assignments.
When Training Requirements are set to "On", the Course Listing becomes each learner's individual Training Requirements Status Report. The individualized Course Listing displays only the course the learner has been assigned to take. Uncompleted courses are grouped at the top of the screen sorted by due date and completed courses are confirmed as completed by being listed next in the "You Have Completed" group.
When Training Requirements are set to "Off" the Course Listing includes all courses from all course locations regardles of whether the learner has been assigned the course.
Click this button to access the Training Requirements assignment and reporting screen. This is where you will make assignments and administer the entire process. Learn more about administering Training Requirements.
Set the rule for determining whether a requirement has been met. Select "Course completion" if a learner meets their requirement by simply completing the course. Select "Course mastery" if a learner must demonstrate mastery to meet the requirement.
Select the due date time period for determining whether an uncompleted assigned course should be included on the learner's Course Listing.

You can choose between two different methods to easily change how mastery is calculated. You can also adjust mastery percentages with Modify.
You can require that students be pre-enrolled by you, or allow learners to enroll themselves during the log-on process.
Click this button to enter learner completion data for classroom, seminar, and other forms of non-computer based training that you want to include in the Training Requirements management and STARS reporting systems. Learn more about entering learner completion data.
Change the column headings for the four groups to which employees can be assigned in the Training Requirements and STARS databases.
Use this option to export learner data to other applications or to other STARS databases.You can select records for the transfer based the following criteria:
- New records since last data transfer.
- Records created within a specific range of dates.
- Records for completed courses only.
- Records for mastered courses only.
Use Learner Data Utilities to diagnose and repair the learner database files. This option is normally reserved for instances when a Mastery Support Representative is assisting you during a support call.
