Changes in labeling of hazardous materials mean all employees need to understand the new Globally Harmonized System (GHS). GHS makes the information on labels more specific by standardizing information and symbols via pictograms and text.
Learn about the six major elements on a GHS label: product or chemical identifiers, supplier identifier, nine hazard pictograms, signal words, hazard statements, and precautionary information that are contained on every label. This video explains the types of information contained in each of the text elements and pictograms to enable a basic understanding of the new labeling system.
Viewers of this Video On Demand will have a good overview of the new labeling standard and be better prepared to protect themselves and their co-workers on building jobs. This video training concludes with a quiz to measure your understanding of the material presented.
