Sexual harassment in the workplace should not be tolerated, and it’s the responsibility of supervisors and managers to create and maintain a respectful work environment. This training video looks at some of the ways management inappropriately responds to incidents of sexual harassment, and teaches better ways to handle them.
This course categorizes and illustrates four types of inadequate managerial responses to sexual harassment: the ostrich, the chameleon, the mother hen, and the wounded tiger. In each case, viewers are shown a better way to respond. For example, the ’mother hen’ type of manager tends to overreact to a sexual harassment complaint, and should learn to step back and take the time to investigate the allegation. Viewers also learn why victims don’t speak out.
Watch this video to learn how to stop sexual harassment in the workplace.
