Heat Stress

Temperatures have been on the rise all over the country. As the temps heat up, you want to make sure your workers are staying safe! Two new Heat Stress courses were released this month, “Heat Stress” and “Heat Stress in Construction Environments.”


Heat can create real health hazards in the workplace, such as heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. These heat-related illnesses are serious and can be fatal. Heat stress can affect employees working outside in hot weather or inside a manufacturing plant, among other workplaces. These courses educate viewers about preventing heat stress, and how to treat heat-related illnesses.


Universal Waste

Organizations in all industries and of all sizes create waste. Universal waste, a category of hazardous waste, includes common materials everyone has to dispose of, and because these materials still present hazards the EPA has regulations surrounding the storage and disposal of them. This month we released two new titles related to universal waste:

Every year OSHA releases a list of the top ten most frequently cited OSHA standards. Training is a key part of avoiding citations and creating a safe work environment.
