Neurodiversity At Work

This month we released a new course, “Neurodiversity At Work,” to help your team become better allies for the neurodivergent community.

Sometimes it can be a challenge to work alongside people who think, communicate, or behave in ways that are different. However, when we celebrate each other’s differences the organization benefits from a broader range of ideas, perspectives, and ways of solving problems. The goal of this course is to help learners develop a better understanding of what neurodiversity is, how the environment can negatively impact neurodivergent employees and how best to support neurodivergent clients and coworkers.

Training on Conducting Interviews

This month we released two new courses to help you conduct better interviews, and ultimately hire more solid candidates.

The course, “Conducting An Extraordinary Job Interview,” provides many tips and strategies, along with examples, for conducting an interview, including how to take effective notes, stay on time and on topic, use silence purposefully, and ask probing questions. Managers learn the importance of verbal and non-verbal cues as well as how to use rating systems.

The course, “Asking Behavioral and Situational Interviewing Questions,” helps leaders learn how to avoid bad hires through an interview process designed to focus on job related skills and experience rather than subjective feelings.

Prevent Discrimination at Work

Laws protect people under a number of difference designations from discrimination, including race, ethnicity, age, gender, religion, or other characteristics not related to the actual requirements of the job. This month we released two training courses focused on specific types of workplace discrimination.

Age Discrimination In The Workplace” covers the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA), the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA), hostility and harassment in the workplace, and retaliation.

Pregnancy Harassment And Discrimination” explains what is meant by pregnancy discrimination, who is protected from it, and how and why it is vital for your organization to be compliant. The course details the Pregnancy Discrimination and Work Act, the ADA and pregnancy, different types of related leave, and break time for nursing mothers.

Present these courses so all employees experience and contribute to a safe, comfortable work environment by following the law and treating each other with dignity and respect.
