Description: Mastery Training Services is a leader in the corporate online training marketplace. Mastery helps organizations meet their HR training objectives by providing streaming training content and Mastery’s own Learning Management System software. We ensure organizations benefit from their employee development and training resources with the assistance of our premium client support services.
Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for Mastery’s growth, positioning Mastery as a preferred vendor, and developing relationships with decision makers for prospective clients (e.g., Safety Directors, Training Managers, and Human Resources Directors). Mastery will also provide leads through ongoing marketing campaigns. You will maintain high activity via phone and email and attend tradeshows and networking events. Some events will be outside of business hours.


Essential Functions


  • Meet or exceed sales quotas and activity metrics as assigned by your Sales Manager

  • Actively market and promote our training solutions

  • Schedule and complete appointments weekly

  • Explain licensing agreement provisions to clients

  • Demonstrate courseware and management software

  • Give sales presentations live, via the internet or video conferences

  • Prepare bids and written responses to client requests for proposals

  • Identify client needs and initiatives to propose appropriate training and service solutions



Primary Responsibilities


  • Actively participate in all product knowledge training to obtain necessary mastery of our training services

  • Meet daily activity goals and metrics (including outbound dials, new demos and unique live contacts)

  • Manage pipeline to identify opportunities and convert those opportunities into sales

  • Sustain a very high-level of activity as set by the Sales Manager, including making roughly 65 outbound calls per day, achieving 8-10 appointments weekly (in person and over the phone), and scheduling 10-15 future appointments

  • Maintain your CRM database of current and potential clients within your assigned territory

  • Prepare for and actively participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with your Sales Manager

  • Submit an accurate forecast to your Sales Manager on a weekly basis

  • Construct grammatically correct, routine business correspondence, such as client e-mails and proposal documents

  • Assist accounting department in collection efforts

Requirements:

Basic Minimum Qualifications


  • 2-4 years of sales experience, service industries preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience in the HR, safety, or employee development fields is a plus

  • Ability and motivation to find, develop and close sales

  • Demonstrated work ethic, self-disciplined

  • Strong organization and time management skills

  • Ability to be coached and to incorporate feedback

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Gmail

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Outgoing, passionate, friendly, assertive

  • Local travel required - must have reliable transportation and able to lift up to 35 pounds
