Housekeeping: Step Back for Safety Series introduces workers to the concept of cleaning and organizing for safety. According to the U.S. National Safety Commission, slips, trips and falls caused by poor housekeeping practices are the leading cause of work place injuries. Just one slip, trip or fall has the potential to keep an employee out of work for weeks or even months. In fact OSHA requires workplaces to be kept clean, in good order and free of clutter.
This online training video course teaches the advantages of good cleaning practices and the hazards of not following through with routine cleaning and organizing. This video course trains workers on how to properly eliminate the potential for trips, the dangers of falling objects, and the steps necessary for properly cleaning spills in the work area. The online video also covers other areas such as the need for proper disposal of hazardous materials, the proper storage of fuel, gas and oxygen and the necessity of using proper protective equipment.
This training video demonstrates how keeping work spaces clean and well ordered helps ensure the health and safety of everyone you work with.
