As terrorist threats continue to rise, security in the workplace is crucial. It is estimated as many as 56% of terrorism targets are commercial and industrial facilities. Safety is dependent, in a large part, on an alert, vigilant workforce. This course focuses on security awareness of employees. Topics covered include following security procedures, staying alert, and reporting observations and suspicions. Specific examples are provided to instruct employees how to keep the workplace as safe as possible by following security protocols and being alert to suspicious behaviors or events.
This course helps to satisfy regulations found in Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) parts 100 through 185. Specifically, this course provides training in “Security Awareness,” described in 49 CFR Part 172, Subpart H. This course can be used with untrained workers, as well as for refresher training.
