Overview

Imagine all the things you do with your hands in a day. One can truly accomplish almost anything in life with their hands, from the mundane and simple to the abstract and complex. However, these tools can be burned, crushed, cut, amputated, or suffer any other kind of injury, in a fraction of a second. Because hands are so important, it is equally critical you know how to prevent hand injuries.

There are certain hazards to watch out for, and certain injuries that are more common than others. Examples of these hazards include mechanical, contact, and personal. Your hands are an extremely complex part of your body, so when injuries occur, it may be equally complex, or even impossible, to fix. This is why preventing the injuries in the first place is so important. This training demonstrates how to control mechanical hazards, control contact hazards and deal with personal hazards.

There are dozens of bones, nerves, arteries, ligaments, joints, and muscles in your hand. Injuring just one could be catastrophic, and could be permanent. Utilize the information presented here to identify potential hazards to your hands and prevent them.
