Overview

Entering confined spaces unprepared can be fatal – not only to the injured workers, but also to people who rush in to rescue or assist them. This course helps workers protect themselves from the risks associated with entering confined spaces.

While not all confined space emergencies can be prepared for or prevented, this course shows workers the number of things that they can do to make it as safe as possible to enter confined spaces such as manholes, tanks, or tunnels. From learning the indicators for when to evacuate and the different roles involved in a confined space entry, to testing for safe oxygen levels and correctly using lockout/tagout procedures to eliminate electrical hazards, workers will know how and why to prepare for the most preventable confined space entry hazards.

Teach this course to ensure all confined space entry employees know the safe work practices that should be used during every confined space entry.
