Overview

One of the leading causes of missing work each year is workplace exposure to harmful substances. Focusing on reducing this outcome, this course prepares transportation and warehouse workers to prevent and react to their potential exposure to hazardous materials.

Based upon OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard, most recently updated in 2024, this course supports employees’ right to know about any potentially hazardous materials they could be exposed to and how to protect themselves if they are. Collectively, the seven topics in this course—Sources of HAZMAT Information; Exposure To HAZMATs; Toxins, Corrosives And Irritants; Carcinogens And Radioactive Materials; Flammables, Combustibles, Explosives And Oxidizers; PPE And Safe Storage; Responding To A HAZMAT Spill—give workers a deeper understanding of the harmful substances and hazards they can encounter during the workday.

Present this course to ensure all employees throughout the transportation and warehouse facility know the purpose, content, and location of the different sources of HAZMAT information that are available to them.
