HAZWOPER: Site Safety and Health Plan

Safety is always a concern when dealing with hazardous chemicals. As a HAZMAT worker, it is critical to know how to identify, evaluate, and control the risks associated with hazardous materials. To protect workers from dangerous wastes, work facilities are required by OSHA to maintain and follow a site safety and health plan. This training course outlines the components of a site safety and health plan and how the plan can keep your employees safe on the job.

A site safety and health plan sets guidelines for working with hazardous chemicals safely, as well as procedures for emergency responders to follow in case of accidents. The plan was created to reduce workers' risks, guard the public from hazards, and protect the environment from contamination. It also includes information on training, employee orientation, and work procedures.
