Overview

Back injuries are the most common type of on-the-job injury, and can be caused by a variety of factors: how a person works, plays, and rests. The simplest movements can contribute to back injury if not performed correctly. This program educates workers about how to keep their backs healthy and feeling great.

Topics in the program include how your back works, body mechanics, proper lifting techniques, and stretching and exercise. In addition, ten steps to develop a back injury prevention program are detailed in the downloadable leader guide, including setting targeted goals for your program and providing ongoing program support. Also included are worksheets for tracking your program and back-strengthening exercises and stretches for healthy backs.

Use this course to help educate workers about how to maintain a healthy back, and to implement money-saving changes in your workplace.
