Research has shown a worker’s past performance is an accurate gauge of how they will perform in the future. This training course explains how to conduct behavioral interviews, which reveal how people have worked in the past. The information gained through the behavioral interview process helps the employer make a more informed hiring decision.

Viewers are taught how to use open-ended questions to ask about areas of expertise. Open-ended questions begin with: What? When? Why? and How? This course explains the importance of clarifying the job description before conducting any interviews. This includes the purpose of the position, an updated summary of the primary tasks and responsibilities, and the skills needed to accomplish those tasks. Viewers also learn about “protected classes” which is a federal law that makes it illegal for employers to discriminate based on color, race, gender, religion, age, and other categories.
